What About Safety?Stories of hoverboards bustring into flames are all over the news. As is usuallay the case, a few bad actors are ruining the reputation of everyone.
The problem stems from unregulated manufacturers, mainly in China, selling ultra-cheap products with sub-standard parts.
Cheap, no-name batteries will explode in any product that uses them. The best way to avoid trouble is to buy transporters, using high quality name-brand batteries, such as Sony, Panasonic, Samsung, etc.
Much like any other activity, it's best to wear a helmet and body protection when riding any individual transporter. Paying attention to your surroundings is always the safest practice.
